The Friendship Circle of Houston is dedicated to bringing friends and smiles to children and adults with special needs; to foster the value of volunteerism and compassion among our youth; and to ultimately realize the community’s responsibility for its members with special needs.

On Sunday, May 7th, The Friendship Circle of Houston will honor its volunteers at a Gala Appreciation Luncheon. The 2017 honorees are:
Zack Pokroy and Paige Robbins for teen volunteers of the year,
Yan Digilov for young adult volunteer of the year,
Ileene Robinson for adult volunteer of the year.

A once in a life time guest speaker, Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein. Elected to the bench in 2014. Justice Bernstein is a tireless advocate for disabled rights and provides a voice to those who would otherwise be forced to be silent.
In his spare time, Richard is an avid runner, completing 17 marathons and triathlons. His story is a powerful narrative of the triumph of the human spirit. He was born blind.
